The Flushies is a new annual awards program recognizing individuals, cities, counties, agencies, and organizations who are advancing access to clean, safe, and equitable restroom facilities.
Bathrooms are not a luxury. They are essential infrastructure that directly impacts everyone from families enjoying the local park to commuters, people in business and retail areas, and our unhoused neighbors. Restrooms provide support for public health, disability access, workforce well-being, and equity. The Flushies exist to spotlight real-world action, elevate best practices, and accelerate progress by celebrating leaders who are improving access today.
Nominations are open from April 20 to May 15, 2026. Winners will be announced and awarded in early June.
